Many African Americans were brought force to migrate to the USA to work as slaves in homes and factories all over the country. Having no human right what so ever they were punish, beating, burn, even parts of their body were cut if they thought of escaping or standing for their rights. Many whites didn't not want blacks to have rights because of the color skin and the level of education. "Although schools for blacks had existed in some places, southern states had made it largely illegal to teach slaves to read and write...only 5 percent of blacks could read and write." (openstack.org). When the Civil Right Movement pass for all Africans American to have human rights immigrants were allowed in the country. In 1982 there was a Chinese Exclusion Act which did not allowed Chinese to become US citizens and immigrate for the next ten years. The 1917 Act require all migrants to take a literacy test to demonstrate basic reading and increase taxes on newly immigrants. Which lead to the Immigration Act of 1924 and The Temporary Quota Act of 1921 which only allowed an amount of immigrants to enter the USA with the quota act only 100 of each nationality were allowed in America. The 1952 Immigration Act restricted immigration " which restricted immigration of communists, anarchists and of anyone who subscribed to an ideology that was considered subversive. This Act kept the national origin quota system for the Eastern Hemisphere." (Sound Vision). Following the Immigration Act of 1952 which allowed any ethnicity to enter America and removed the limit of people who can enter. Also remove the barriers of Chinese immigrating.
